Some questions you might have about buying from the shop. Any further questions? Do get in touch…
Framing
Does my painting come framed?
This is indicated in the specific description for each item but generally original paintings on board or canvas are framed. Work on paper is presented in a mount (mat) ready for framing but the frame is NOT included. This is because work on paper should normally be framed behind glass and it is not possible for me to mail glass for fear of it breaking and damaging the work. Please take work on paper to your local framer or you can use a shop bought frame. I am happy to advise if this is all new to you!
Can I buy work unframed?
Apart from work on paper (see above), I generally sell my paintings in a frame and completely ready to hang with all the fixings on the back. Whether the painting is for you or it is something you plan to gift to someone else, this generally makes it easy. I usually use simple frames in either black or white and the frame is shown in the item description. If you have a preference, for example for white over black, I am usually able to accommodate this so please email to ask (sarah@sarahjenningsartist.com)
If you like the painting but really dislike the frame please do get in touch and it may be possible for me to sell you the painting unframed. I want you to be happy with every aspect of the purchase.
Dispatch
How soon after I order will you send it to me?
I aim to dispatch your order to you within 3 days of receiving it (and it will often be sooner). However, I will always let you know the timescale and ensure you are happy with this.
How will you send my order?
I wrap paintings very carefully to avoid damage and within the UK will usually send by Royal Mail. Paintings will be tracked and insured. I will let you know when the order has been dispatched and usually ask you to let me know you have safely received it. In the unlikely event that the painting arrives damaged please take clear photographs of the damaged packing and artwork and email me within 7 days at sarah@sarahjenningsartist.com
Returns
Can I return my order if I am not happy with it?
I want you to be happy with your painting and I am willing to accept returns provided you notify me by email within 14 days of your order and you mail the artwork back to me. The artwork should be undamaged and returned via a reputable tracked delivery method. You will be responsible for the cost of returning the artwork and I will refund you for the price you paid for the artwork within 7 days of receipt.
Testimonials
Some of the kind words I have received about my artwork and teaching….
‘Our new favourite artist. We just love absolutely everything about this painting Sarah. Incredible talent’ - SBH
‘I spent an absolutely lovely couple of hours with Sarah in her studio last year. I think her paintings are beautiful, and I love the loose brush strokes and the use of mixed media within her work. I was in a bit of a rut with my illustration work, having been struggling with my drawings feeling too tight and controlled, so I was looking for a way to change my approach and reconnect with my creative voice. Sarah worked with me to create a landscape, sharing with me her process and approach to painting. I came away feeling so inspired and much more positive about my work and the direction I wanted to take it in. I invested in some bigger brushes and some new paints straight away! I am very grateful to Sarah for her encouragement and willingness to share her knowledge’ - ES
‘I bought a 20x20cm painting from Sarah having coveted it on Instagram. Delighted when it arrived to see the photos on social media and Sarah’s website were a very accurate and reliable representation. The painting looks fantastic and just as I hoped. Very well packaged, great communication, sensibly priced - what’s not to love!’ - CD
‘Your painting arrived safely yesterday, thank you so much. I absolutely love it, it’s beautiful and the greens are so calming. I know I’m going to be very happy looking at it every day. Very nice frame too!’ -CS
